Park Up-Date:
We are waiting on the drawing of the park so we can have a visual on how the park will look, as soon as we get the drawing, the board of directors will call another special meeting to discuss the following:
Discuss and vote on park becoming a community park
Discuss the items on the park
Discuss and approve an amount of money the HOA will donate to the project
Below is an update letter from Cherri Edwards, she is the project leader for the park project:
Hello everyone, Here are the latest updates from project H.O.P.E.
Things are comming right along very nicely. Donation jars will be placed
througout magnolia at all businesses and restaurants.
Cherrie has now applied for (2) grants.
We will be having bake sales, garage sales, car washes and donation jars will
also be at most schools in our area.
Paulette Varner a rpc homeowner will be remaking the park plans, she is the one who did
the last set of plans. She is donating her time.
We have gotten alot of companies wanting to donate materials for the project. We will
be asigning someone to kept that in order.
We are trying to compile a list of what we will need so companies and businesses
can sign up to donate certain items that they have or are willing to purchase for a donation.
As you can see this project is getting off to a great start. Alot of people are involved, including
several rpc homeowners.
We even have the media news 26 and city and county officials involved…….
2 Girl Scout Troops have contacted me about wanting to work at fundraising and helping with our project.
My students have been asked to speak at a Magnolia Lion’s Club Meeting and have already been promised a donation.
The County Commissioner is probably (has to go through correct channels) going to donate the crushed red gravel for our walking track around the park.
An additional $1100.00 has been donated toward the project.
